To mark International Women’s Day 2019 the Museum joins forces with United Nations Cinema (Ciné-ONU) for a special screening of Under the Wire, which tells the incredible true story of foreign affairs correspondent Marie Colvin.

On 13 February 2012 war-correspondent Marie Colvin and photographer Paul Conroy entered war-ravaged Syria to cover the plight of civilians trapped in the besieged Homs, under attack by the Syrian army. Only one of them returned. Based on Conroy’s book of the same name, the film is a gripping account of the triumph of the human spirit in the face of overwhelming adversity.

The film will be followed by a very special panel discussion with Paul Conroy as well as Director Chris Martin.
