Speakers from the Open University and British Museum explore religious lives and practices. Using Museum objects, they present approaches to the rituals and everyday lives of religious practitioners.

Talks focus on themes such as initiation, pilgrimage, sacrifice and worship, particularly among Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Jews and Muslims.

Venetia Porter, curator of the Albukhary Foundation Gallery of the Islamic world, will also discuss the re-presenting of objects and art from the cultures of Islam.
