Description
Copper alloy flat axe; with a thin, narrow, straight angular butt. Sides are roughly parallel to each other in upper half, then swing out gently in lower half to form a wide cutting-edge, which is damaged. Decorated on both faces with, two columns of vertical herringbone pattern, a central and lower band of horizontal herringbone pattern with a bordering pair of punched dots. The lower face is decorated with three vertical columns of herringbone pattern. The sides are decorted with hammered lozenge pattern. The entire object is covered with dark brown patina.

Probably from a hoard said to have been found near Connor. It is not expressly stated, but it is likely that it was found with WG.1542-3.Date: Frankford-Killaha-Ballyvalley period.
