Eleanor Ghey is responsible for reporting on Iron Age and Roman coin hoards found in Britain for the Treasure Act.

From 2013 to 2016 she was a post-doctoral researcher on the AHRC funded British Museum and University of Leicester research project “Hoarding in Iron Age and Roman Britain”. Prior to this she worked with Iron Age and Roman coins in the Department of Coin and Medals. She began her museum career as a conservator before returning to archaeology to submit her doctoral thesis on Gallo-Roman temple sites at the University of Wales in 2003.
