- Description
-
Gold bracelet or 'tress ring'. The penannular bracelet is grooved with a smooth surface on the inside. The edges are thicker. The terminals are plain and straight and are only separated from each other by a narrow gap. The flat undecorated interior is marked at the centre by three adjacent dents and on the exterior by a visible join indicating that the manufacture involved the joining of two pieces.
It was manufactured from a single strip of gold that was probably beaten into a grooved former. The edges of the bracelet were then smoothed.
